Not exactly Stamping!

Ok, well this isn't exactly stamping but I was rather proud of how it turned out. Some close friends of my husband and I are getting ready to be first time grandparents. Well today there was a baby shower for their daughter.

While talking with some friends on SCS a few weeks ago Sharon mentioned a diaper cake as a good baby shower present. Well, it has been so long since I had been to a baby shower or in a baby store I had no idea what she was talking about. Kindly enough she posted a link to a place that makes and sells these. After looking at their website I decided that I could do it and save myself a ton of money!

My sister and her husband visited last weekend and I talked my sister into helping me get this put together. It really came together very easily. I was surprised. The core has a container of wipes in it to help take up some of the space. This uses one package of small diapers. The theme for the nursery is fish and ocean lifeh. I was happy to have found the fishy type elements to use on here. And I love the octopus that is on the top, when you squeeze his head he plays music and in each of his legs there is a button when pushed says the color of what is on that tentacle.

There are washcloths, diaper pins, baby bath, baby lotion and ointments, rattles, nail clipper set, medicine dropper, wipes, bath toys, baby powder, goldfish container all included on it.

It seemed to be a big hit!

Wish I had a baby to make one for! My three girls are done with babies and none of my grandchildren are old enough to be parents, yet, according to their 70 year old grandmother! I was 30 before I had my first baby.
